This week we worked on ERDAS for the first time. Initially I was a bit nervous because I had not even heard of the product, but it turned out to be a lot simpler than I thought. The above image was one that I rendered of Olympic National Park in Washington State. It is a flexible program with many different ways to conduct your tasks. Even something as simple as zooming can be done in different ways, although I ended up prefering the traditional middle scroll key. While I didn't have any hiccups, I did have to be careful with the many different options in regards to the Raster data. If I wasn't careful, I could reach a point where I was stuck becuase certain options would not be allowed for selection (such as the multispectral)
Even though I barely got my toes wet in this program, I look forward to hopefully getting a better glimpse into the true potential of what it can do.
